About your role
QAL has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Electrical Integrity team within the Maintenance Services department. Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical Integrity, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:

Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures

Providing technical support for maintaining and replacing electrical equipment
-
Being involved in planned and unplanned breakdown work
-
Troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets
-
Completing verification of E/I scheduled maintenance tests, check-sheets and recording within the maintenance management system
-
Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives which will involve working with many different disciplines within the organisation
-
Identifying defects and providing feedback on asset performance, reliability and asset health
-
Monitoring, isolating, commissioning and performing preventative maintenance and conducting operational activities
-
Supporting area with Electrical Hazardous area equipment and dossier compliance
-
Providing technical support for the relevant area E/I team
What you will bring

A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
-
Electrical and/or Instrumentation trade qualifications
-
Experience in the maintenance and installation of VSD drives and IMAC systems
-
Proven problem-solving and fault-finding skills
-
Experience maintaining, replacing and calibrating instrumentation equipment
-
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
