E&I Tradesperson

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Electrical & Instrumental Tradespeople to join our Gladstone Power Station client, on site in Gladstone, Queensland. This position will be full time permanent, direct with the client. Hours worked will be a 9 Day Fortnight and 36.25 hours worked per week.

Duties Include:
  • To continually improve the safe, timely, and cost effective delivery of maintenance, focusing primarily on effective preventive maintenance strategies and quality response to breakdowns that support optimal station reliability and availability.
  • Carrying out maintenance activities to provide the appropriate level of availability and reliability of Electrical Process plant and equipment


Education & Qualifications
  • Trade Certificate (Electrical Fitter Mechanic) / Certificate III in Instrumentation
  
Desired Skills
  • Understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices and an ability to promote and maintain a safe work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices and other staff
  • Interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Suite and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  
  
Experience
  • Heavy industry electrical maintenance
  • Instrument calibration experience
  • Fault finding on PLC / DCS systems
  • Read technical electrical drawings
  • High Voltage equipment maintenance experience and High Voltage Isolation Access Training. Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical.
