We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) who is either studying towards or has completed a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. About Us
Located in the heart of Rockhampton, Archer Street Child Care Centre is a 90-place, family-owned Long Day Care Centre dedicated to providing the highest standard of early childhood care. We take pride in our strong community ties, focusing on:
- Sustainability: Aiming for plastic-free lunchboxes by 2025.
- Cultural Connections: Collaborating with Traditional Land Owners to offer programs highlighting Darumbal culture for our kindergarten children.

Your Role
As our ECT, you will play a vital role in preparing children for school and beyond by implementing our school readiness program. Collaborating with our experienced team, you will ensure that each child's individual needs are met and that learning aligns with their developmental milestones.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing fantastic resources to foster independent learning.
- Working passionately with children, even if you're new to the field—we’ll provide training!
- Receiving mentorship and support from our experienced ECT.
- Taking on leadership opportunities, guiding programs across rooms, and supporting educators in their professional development.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- An ACECQA-approved ECT qualification or evidence of progress toward completion.
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
- Solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- A collaborative, positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
