**FIRST YEAR ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP**

Bonlec is a Queensland based, Privately Owned Company that services the North and Central Queensland Region. 

Due to our expansion into the Central Queensland Region, we are looking for a committed and trustworthy applicant to join our Rockhampton team as a First Year Electrical Apprentice.

With well-established Branches in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton Bonlec is a very diverse Electrical Contracting Business that has been operating successfully for over 40 years.

Throughout that time, Bonlec has been providing our Customers Innovative Solutions in the following Electrical disciplines -

  • Building and Energy Management Solutions (BEMS); Primarily in relation to Heating, Ventilation, Airconditioning and Refrigeration
  • Smart Lighting Control Systems
  • Commercial and Industrial Electrical Services & Installation
  • Automatic Fire Detection Supply & Engineering
  • Design and Construction of Mechanical & Electrical Switchboards
  • Solar Solutions- Commercial Grid Connected and Standalone Power Solutions
  • Solar Pumping Solutions
  • Ag Technology & Innovation such as our AGMON solution for water monitoring stations

 

Applications are invited from candidates who have graduated from Year 12 or will do so this year and are genuinely pursuing a career as an Electrical Tradesperson in the industry. 

Applicants with the following skills and attributes are encouraged to apply-

  • Strong in Math's/Physics and general Computer Skills
  • Relevant Work Experience and/or hands-on experience in a trade-based environment using Hand and Power Tools
  • Construction white card
  • Successful completion of Safe Work endorsed training courses
  • CPR/LVR
  • Drivers Licence

Requirements:

  • Willing to obtain a CPR & Low Voltage Rescue Certificate if not already accredited
  • Hold a current Queensland Driver’s License
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to work in a team and autonomously

 

Some of our Customer Sites require Police checks for all of our employees and all staff must adhere to our Drug & Alcohol policy.
