About the role

Thiess is currently seeking an experienced Electrical & Autonomous Supervisor to join our Lake Vermont project, located 19kms north of Dysart. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of Autonomous Mobile Equipment Solutions. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest quality of work for the Autonomy, Electrical and FMS departments, providing safe, productive, and reliable systems to Thiess operations.

Working an 8/6 day shift roster, your duties will include:  

  • Coordinate implementation of the autonomous, electrical and FMS equipment solutions
  • Involvement and planning of all aspects of autonomous, electrical and FMS project delivery including implementation and maintenance
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvements of autonomous, electrical and FMS hardware, software systems and site procedures
  • Change management of autonomous, electrical and FMS hardware and software systems
  • Monitoring of autonomous, electrical and FMS project against defined Business KPI's

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Electrical trade
  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft suite
  • Experience in delivering capital projects in a large-scale mining environment
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of autonomous, electrical and FMS equipment – preferred
  • Experience supervising of a site-based maintenance team
  • CMMS experience with preference in JDE
