Current Opportunities:

🔹 Electrical / Control Systems Engineer

As an Electrical / PCS Engineer at Milek Engineering, you’ll be at the heart of cutting-edge projects, responsible for electrical engineering activities on manufactured and overhauled equipment. You’ll foster essential relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of innovative solutions. Your role will become involved in everything from PLC control enclosures to mobile substations, ensuring top-tier quality and customer satisfaction.

Electrical Engineering:

  • Design, draft, and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts.

  • Specify and select electrical components (MCCs, VSDs, transformers, protection devices, etc.).

  • Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and coordination studies.

  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.

  • Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and client specifications.

  • Support fault finding and root cause analysis of electrical equipment failures.

Control Systems Engineering:

  • Develop and implement PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for industrial automation.

  • Program and configure systems using platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Schneider.

  • Integrate instrumentation, drives, sensors, and safety systems into overall control architecture.

  • Perform control system simulations, testing, and commissioning.

  • Maintain and update control documentation including functional descriptions and IO lists.

  • Troubleshoot control system faults and optimise system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

  • Proven experience in both electrical design and control systems programming.

  • Strong understanding of AS/NZS standards and relevant compliance practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
