Resource Industries | Field Mining – Dragline and Electric Rope Shovel department is sourcing for fulltime permanent talented Electrical Service Technician on a 7 on/off Roster.

This role will utilise your exceptional trade experience by carrying out electrical service maintenance, repairs and recondition on Dragline and Electric Rope Shovel. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the work will need to comply to Dealership standards with a high quality of workmanship and completion in a timely manner.

In this technical role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical circuits and electronic controlling systems.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and recondition jobs on Dragline and ERS equipment.
  • Diagnostic skills to ensure a fault/issue is identified prior to failure.
  • Electrical wiring and schematic diagrams/drawings
  • Electronic diagnostic skills
  • Disciplined in reporting documentation.

About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Trade Qualification (Electrician) and License
  • 3 to 5 years’ post trade experience in the electrical industry
  • Computer literacy
  • Demonstrated high level of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to work within a team and unsupervised.
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Skills to diagnose and repair advanced electrical circuits and electronic controlling systems.
  • Diagnostic skills to ensure an electrical fault/issue is identified to it’s root cause before parts replacement.

The following is Desirable but not essential:

  • High Voltage Switching Ticket
  • Demonstrated electrical mine site experience on Draglines, Electric Rope Shovels, Siemens Drive Systems
  • Experience in Caterpillar Systems
