Electrician / Electrical & Instrumentation

 

NRGGOS is currently seeking to appoint a temporary full time Electrician / Electrical & Instrumentation Fitter to join the Maintenance Department. This position is for a Specific Task Employee to work from February 2026 to 31 December 2026, Monday to Friday, 36.25 hour week on a 9-day fortnight basis.

As a member of the electrical workgroup, you will work within a team that promotes and maintains a safe working environment and your role will focus on the following:

  • Carry out maintenance activities to provide appropriate level of availability and reliability of electrical processes, plant and equipment

  • Providing timely and quality response to breakdowns

  • Providing technical input into planning and recommending improvements to standards, procedures and systems.

Essential Qualifications and Attributes include:

  • Relevant Trade qualifications (Electrical Fitter Mechanic)

  • Experience in power stations or heavy industry, together high voltage equipment would be highly regarded

  • Good communication skills

  • Self-motivated and results driven

  • Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical.
