Expression of Interest - ELECTRICIAN

Council is seeking to appoint a maximum term full time Electrician to contribute to Council’s success.

This position is a maximum term opportunity with a projected end date of October 2025.

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to assist in the successful delivering of Minor Capital and Operational Program; through electrical works, and the completion of construction, preventive and reactive maintenance activities within the Water Program Delivery areas of water and sewerage. 

  • Salary for this role is $100,595.03 plus generous on call provisions, allowances and up to 12% super.

  • On call roster attracts additional leave entitlements.

You will bring:

  • Certificate III Trade Certificate (Electrical) with a Qld License class Electrical Fitter/Mechanic together with demonstrated industry knowledge, skills and relevant experience.

  • Shall not be colour blind.

  • Knowledge of and experience applying the Electrical Safety Act 2002 and Electrical Safety Regulation 2002.

  • Experience reading and interpreting plans, charts and instructions.

  • Communication and literacy skills to complete paperwork, liaise with others and to follow instructions.

  • Work outside of normal work hours as requested by your supervisor as part of the requirements of the sections published 'on call' roster

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.

  • Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).

  • Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland

To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have applicable working rights.

This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.
