**Electrician- Mechanical Electrical and BEMS/Controls Installation**

Bonlec specialises in Building Management, Energy Management and Automation systems with distribution rights to some of the industry’s leading and most respected Brands in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) market. Bonlec is also the Queensland Solution Partner (Fire) for Siemens Cerberus PRO fire detection system as well as the North and Central Queensland Partner of Smartscape Lighting Systems with the latest Zencontrol DALI-2 lighting control systems, iLumen lighting systems and Emegy Emergency Lighting Systems.

Our growing Rockhampton Branch is looking for a motivated Electrician to fill or grow into the following position- 

Electrician- Mechanical Electrical and BEMS/Controls Installation

Bonlec Rockhampton services the entire Central Queensland Region including Maryborough, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Gladstone and Yeppoon along the Coast and out West to the NT Border. 

Prior experience in Mechanical Electrical and BEMS/Controls Installations will be advantageous however it is not essential.

Bonlec will provide on the job training and direction from experienced current staff to assist in bringing any committed Electrician up to speed with this type of work and to the level expected at Bonlec.

The position will be required to perform a wide variety of electrical work including but not limited to-

• Mechanical Electrical-

  • Installation of Mechanical Electrical Services Switchboards (MSSB’s)

  • Installation of Cable Support Systems (Cable tray, catenaries, conduit etc.) 

  • Installation of Power Circuits and isolators to mechanical plant (chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handling units (AHU’s), vent fans, VRF AC’s etc.)

  • Electrical testing of installed circuits

• BEMS/Controls Installation-

  • Reading MSSB drawings and points list and planning installation needs

  • Installation of 24v power and control/signal cabling from MSSB’s to field devices (temperature/humidity/CO2/pressure sensors, chilled water valve actuators, dampers, variable speed drives (VSD’s) etc.) as required from the supplied documentation

  • Point to point testing of installed cabling

  • Commissioning assistance with Controls Engineer upon completion of site works

• BEMS/Controls Service

  • Customer support with an emphasis on good verbal and written communications

  • Perform routine service maintenance on existing BEMS sites (calibrate sensors, check operation of BEMS field devices and general efficient operation of plant etc.)

  • Quote and replace faulty equipment found during service

• General Electrical Services

  • Carry out electrical service and reactive repairs on multiple sites that Bonlec services in the Region

  • Perform general light, power and data installations for Commercial and Industrial customers that Bonlec services in the Region

  • Commission Zencontrol DALI-2 lighting control systems in conjunction with Electrical Contractors
