Job Description

We’re on the lookout for experienced Engine Rebuild Mechanic to join our world-class Rebuild Facility in Mackay. This is your opportunity to work on predominantly Caterpillar engines in a clean, well-resourced workshop - with a team that values precision and pride in their craft.

 Your Day-to-Day

  • Rebuilding and repairing prominently Caterpillar engines to OEM standards
  • Stripping, inspecting, and assembling using specialised tooling
  • Accurately documenting work and quality checks for internal/external use
  • Working to set build schedules, supporting your team to hit daily targets
  • Supporting Emeco’s rental fleet through high-quality builds
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and productive workspace

 What You’ll Bring 

  • Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-trade experience in engine rebuilds
  • Full Australian working rights - no visa sponsorship available
  • Australian Driver’s Licence
  •  Forklift ticket (or willing to obtain)
  • Strong safety mindset and team-first attitude
  • Confident with build documentation and job tracking systems

Highly Regarded

  • Experience using CAT ET, SIS, or similar diagnostic systems
  • Exposure to rebuilds of CAT 3500 series engines,
  • HRWLs: Dogging, Rigging, or Gantry Crane ticket
