Your Role – What You’ll Own:

As the Engineering Operations Manager, you’ll be at the helm of a critical part of our business, overseeing our three Engineering Facilities in Paget, Bowen, and Haypoint. You’ll be the driving force behind the success of our Structural & Fabrication division. You’ll have the power to shape the future of our operations while making an immediate impact. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Lead & Inspire – Build and lead a powerhouse team of Structural & Fabrication experts. Your leadership will be key in driving our success.

  • End-to-End Project Oversight – From estimating and quoting to delivering high-quality results, you’ll own the entire project lifecycle.

  • Site Travel & Support – Travel to projects and shutdowns to ensure we’re executing with precision and safety at every step.

  • Schedule Like a Pro – Coordinate and schedule workforce activities to ensure no project falls behind.

  • Mentor the Future – Help develop apprentices and tradesmen to ensure the next generation of talent is ready to rise.

  • Drive Safety & Innovation – Promote safety first and foster a continuous improvement culture. Lead the charge on innovating and finding smarter ways to do things.

 

Who We’re Looking For:

We need a leader, a problem-solver, and someone who knows how to get things DONE. You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:

  • Structural & Fabrication Experience – You’ve got a background in similar roles and know the ins and outs of the industry.

  • Engineering or Trade Qualifications – You have the technical foundation to lead with confidence.

  • Industry Expertise – Whether it’s Ports, Mining, Mills, or Construction, you know the demands and nuances of these environments.

  • Proven Project Management – You’ve managed complex projects and know how to get results under pressure.

  • Communication Mastery – You can talk the talk, write the reports, and lead the team with clarity and precision.

  • Organisational Genius – You’re always a step ahead, managing schedules, resources, and priorities like a pro.

  • Tech-Savvy – You know your way around Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project, and you’re ready to leverage technology for success.
