Equipment Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Equipment Specialist join our team in Rockhampton. This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role. You will have a primary focus on Hydraulic Mining Shovel / Electric Rope Shovel and Dragline supporting our Rolleston Mine.

What you'll be doing:
As an Equipment Specialist at Hastings Deering, you will:

• Understand the customers weekly, monthly & yearly maintenance & production plans to identify areas of potential improvement.
• Provide customers with trusted, relevant Technical Support and a single point of contact to access further Dealer and OEM services as required.
• Scheduled inspections to assist customers prevent premature failure and costly downtime.
• Deliver accurate reporting of equipment downtime event data into the relevant platform. (AMT).
• Ensure accurate component forecast data in AMT is up to date & validate for future shut-down demand / opportunities.
• Reporting relevant commercial insights into the Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM) for parts and service demand planning.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar customer facing role.
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, relevant trade qualification or strongly demonstrated industry-related technical acumen is essential.
• Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships.
• Experience in the mining, mining services or heavy equipment industries
• Intermediate parts product knowledge and a strong familiarity with the prime product fleet to be managed.
• A sound understanding of Hastings Deering and Caterpillar support systems or similar would be advantageous.
