About the Role:
Due to remarkable growth at Glencore Hail Creek Mine, we’re looking for the final Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our Heavy Maintenance Equipment Workshop (HME). Experience with OEM products, servicing, and repair is advantageous, along with onsite mining workshop experience.
This diverse role allows you to work in a safe workshop environment on exclusive Caterpillar and Komatsu heavy mobile mining equipment, including Ultra Class Electric Drive Trucks and ancillary equipment like dozers, graders, and loaders.
Location:
Hail Creek Mine is conveniently located 120 km southwest of Mackay, with a 1.5-hour commute by car or bus. Enjoy on-site accommodation and access to fantastic facilities, including a gym, wet mess bar, sporting complex, and swimming pool.
What We’re Looking for:
- Demonstrated workshop experience in repairing and maintaining Diesel Fitter - Heavy Maintenance Equipment
- Experience and product knowledge in Caterpillar & Komatsu heavy mobile mining equipment preferred.
- A positive and proactive approach to safety
- Commitment to working as part of a team
- Relevant trade qualification
- Coal Board Medical (desirable)
- Standard 11 (desirable)
- Glencore Generic Induction (desirable)
