We have exciting opportunities for experienced Dive Instructors with minimum Coxswains NC1 qualifications (or Master 5's for Coxswains class vessels) to join our expanding Dive Team at Keppel Dive & Water Sports located on the beautiful Great Keppel Island, Yeppoon, Queensland.
Position: Experienced Dive Instructor with Coxswain NC1 or greater. Will also consider Dive Masters with Coxswain and stand-alone Coxswains NC1 or greater.

Great Keppel Island is located just 30mins from Yeppoon on the magical Capricorn Coast on the Southern Great Barrier Reef. As a PADI accredited Dive Resort, Keppel Dive & Water Sports provides everything from Introductory & Certified Boat Dives to PADI accredited dive courses including Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Rescue Dive Courses.
We offer diverse, small group experiences to ensure your Diving & Charter Tourism career is full of variation and your time on the island and mainland is both enjoyable and educational. Keppel Dive & Water Sports work on a number of scientific and Traditional Owner contracts, so you’ll also be part of the protection and preservation of the Great Barrier Reef and its cultural heritage.
Funtastic Cruises is the Capricorn Coast's premier sailing and cruising charter experience. Including sailing and tourist power boat adventures, Funtastic Cruises offers full day and sunset charters for public and private hire around the Keppel Islands.
We are seeking Dive Instructors/Dive Masters with Coxswain NC1 Certification (minimum) for short- and long-term positions. The successful candidates must have a strong understanding of water safety protocols including operating commercial vessels, snorkelling and scuba diving. Higher preference given to those with Coxswains NC1 or Master 5 with strong Maintenance/mechanical experience. Dive Masters with a Coxswains NC1/Master 5 or above ticket will also be seriously considered.

The Duties of the Dive Instructor / Coxswain include:

Guest & Class orientations on arrival

Conducting dive courses (Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, and Discover Scuba dives)

Skipper of commercial vessels

Deckhand responsibilities
-
Previous marine experiences: sailing and power boat charters, scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaks.

Island tours: Full day & Sunset charters, Snorkelling, Boat tours, Island Water Taxi

Occasional operations of the on-island dive hut

Conduct Great Barrier Reef studies & surveys
