EXPERIENCED Medical Receptionist - Casual Position

The opportunity

Mt Pleasant Medical and Dental Centre is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team in North Mackay, QLD on a casual basis. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of our medical practice and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key responsibilities

• Efficiently managing patient bookings and coordinating appointments

• Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival, addressing their queries and directing them to the appropriate areas

• Handling patient inquiries, both in person and over the phone, with professionalism and empathy

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring confidentiality

• Assisting with administrative tasks such as billing, filing, scanning and emailing.

• Providing support to the clinical and Practice Management team as needed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar medical receptionist or customer service role

• Availability to work rostered shifts and cover staff leave & provision rotational Saturday morning shifts

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients from diverse backgrounds

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively

• Proficient in using Best Practice Medical Software (Preferred) or other practice management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Passion for providing exceptional patient care and a commitment to upholding medical confidentiality

• Knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures in a healthcare setting
