Position: NDIS Support Coordinator (Casual)
Location: Mackay & Whitsundays
Employment Type: Casual (Part Time)
Salary: ~$35-$45hr, commensurate with skills and experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced NDIS Support Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the NDIS framework and a passion for helping participants navigate their plans and access the supports they need, however previous experience not essential as all training is provided. Preferred days - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist NDIS participants in understanding and implementing their NDIS plans.

  • Coordinate and manage a range of supports for participants, including funded supports and mainstream services.

  • Ensure participants are linked to appropriate services and supports in their local community.

  • Monitor progress towards participants' goals and adjust support strategies as needed.

  • Support participants to ensure they receive the necessary supports and services.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in Social Work, Disability, Community Services, or a related field preferred, but not essential as all training is provided.

  • Proven experience as an NDIS Support Coordinator or similar role preferred, but not essential.

  • In-depth knowledge of the NDIS framework, policies, and procedures preferred, but not essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of administrative experience a must.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Familiarity with local service providers and community resources.

  • Proficiency in using case management software and NDIS portals.
