About This Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Coordinator to manage and maintain student accommodation and other Rural Clinical School facilities to ensure they meet health, safety, and operational standards. This role involves supervising maintenance activities, planning refurbishments, liaising with stakeholders and vendors, and managing administrative and budgetary tasks. The coordinator also ensures emergency preparedness and promotes a safe and healthy environment for all occupants.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead, develop and motivate the facilities administration team in providing high level, accurate and timely support services.
- Organise and oversee the maintenance of Rural Clinical School buildings, vehicles, equipment and student accommodation including lease renewals, subsidies, and communication for rental properties.
- Develop and budget annual maintenance plans for student accommodation and provide regular reports to the Senior Manager.
- Lead the Rural Clinical School Health, Safety, and Wellness Committee meetings and promote safety across the Rural Clinical School including OH&S building inductions and first aid supervision.
- Liaise with key stakeholders related to leased properties and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
About You
- A tertiary degree qualification with at least four (4) years subsequent experience; extensive experience and management expertise, or a combination of relevant experience and education/training in facility coordination, project management or similar.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail to maintain high standards of facility management and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience and skills utilising various information technology systems, including Microsoft Office suite, Archibus integrated facilities management platform and StarRez or equivalent.
- A high level of understanding of current health and safety regulations and the demonstrated practical application of regulations to ensure compliance.
- Proven adaptability and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience in and a commitment to living and working in rural and/or regional Australia.
- Experience in managing building management and operations.
- Demonstrated relevant experience within the university sector or similar other large, complex organisation
