Job Description

We are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to support HME maintenance operations based throughout Mackay. This role is focused on assisting with servicing, component change-outs, and rebuilds across a range of heavy mobile equipment, working in a structured field service environment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is maintained to OEM standards and ready for operation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with machine builds, commissioning, and pre-delivery inspections
  • Strip, assess, and rebuild hydraulic systems and components (pumps, cylinders, valves, motors)
  • Complete major rebuilds and overhauls, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications
  • Perform major component change-outs (engines, transmissions, torque converters, differentials, final drives)

  • 7/7, 2/1 or longer and 5/2 rosters available.

To be considered, you must hold the following:
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with mining & heavy equipment.
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant).
  • Ability to pass full pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening.
