 The Opportunity: We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at the Gladstone Branch within Field Service to maintain and repair the Komatsu range of equipment to ensure optimum quality, availability and performance and carry out maintenance and repairs. 

 The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience working with leading OEM equipment, including Komatsu, CAT, Liebherr, and Hitachi.  In this role, you will complete maintenance and repairs to a wide array of Komatsu machinery providing technical support for our clients throughout the region.

Roster: 7/7-day roster (12.5-hour days)

Salary - $152 000 - $167 000 + Super + Car

What we are looking for:

  • Possess a trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter.
  • Have a demonstrable track record of successful work as a Heavy Diesel Fitter in the automotive or heavy equipment industry, with a focus on electric vehicles.
  • Proficient in the use of a wide range of tools and equipment specific to heavy diesel machinery.
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies in heavy equipment maintenance and a commitment to staying updated on industry advancements.
  • A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a secure working environment for oneself and team members.
  • Adherence to industry standards and regulations governing the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and handle a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and inspection of heavy diesel equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Effective communication skills are essential to coordinate efforts and share insights with team members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in conducting routine inspections, documenting findings, and ensuring that repairs are completed to the highest standards.
