Minespec Parts is a locally owned HME Parts company based in Nebo Queensland and Rutherford New South Wales; the entrance to some of the of the world’s largest mining resources in the Bowen, Galilee Basins and Hunter Valley Region.

We are seeking a Finance Manager / Accountant, for an immediate start to manage the financial side of our businesses which are situated in Nebo via Mackay and in Rutherford in the Hunter Valley NSW.  Your role will be 4 days per week and predominantly based in our office in Mackay but does require some travel to both Nebo and Rutherford NSW. 

 

You will be responsible for the financial management of the businesses, the role would include but is not limited to the following tasks:

  • Processing of weekly payroll. 
  • Implementing and maintaining budget systems for internal operations. 
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and accounts with the support of our external accountant.  
  • Management of cashflow between internal operations and across multiple businesses and locations. 
  • Liaison with Business and Sales managers to help them meet sales targets and review monthly results. 
  • Liaison with Office Management team to assist with various tasks required. 
  • Payment of employee superannuation.

 

Experience with Microsoft products is necessary.   

Experience with Xero is highly preferred. 

Experience with Ostendo (stock management software) is welcomed but not necessary.
