Are you on the lookout for an exhilarating career move? Mackay Regional Council is offering an exceptional chance for two skilled Finance Officers to join our esteemed Management Accounting Team.

Key Responsibilities within the Management Accounting Team encompass:

  • Assisting in budget development and monitoring
  • Contributing to the establishment of internal controls, financial policies, procedures, and reports
  • Facilitating grants administration, including returns and acquittals

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficiency in computerised integrated accounting systems, including system maintenance
  • Experience in budgeting, project costing, accounting, or bookkeeping
  • Ability to deliver astute financial advice, complemented by exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)

Candidates holding Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Accounting, or an equivalent qualification enabling membership to the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants or Chartered Accountants Association will be highly regarded.
