Are you an experienced Fitter with a passion for fostering and maintaining good working relationships? Join Sunwater as a Fitter, where you’ll play a vital role in undertaking routine mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, installation and modification work and troubleshooting tasks.
Other responsibilities include:
- Maintaining pumps, valves and mechanical equipment associated with pipelines and bulk water storages
- Gathering information and monitoring performance of plant and equipment to ensure its safe, reliable and efficient operation
- Identifying, reporting and correcting workplace hazards and defects in a timely manner
- Managing contractor activities in conjunction with supervisors to provide information and safe access to assets
Please note you will be required to work a 1 in 2 roster which will require weekend work.
We are seeking an experienced tradesperson with the ability to participate actively in a team environment. You will hold Qualifications Cert 3 as a fitter, fitter-mechanic or other suitable trade, and have a Class ‘C’ driver’s licence.
You will also bring:
- The ability to perform the manual task requirements of the position and work in confined spaces
- Well-developed computer, diagnostic and technical skills.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
