Our client in Mackay is currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join their growing and well‑established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled trade professional looking for strong hourly rates, overtime, and long-term stability.

What's on Offer

• Up to $53 per hour + additional site uplift
• Overtime available
• Workshop hours: Monday to Friday | 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Site work: Up to 12-hour shifts + travel time
• All required tooling supplied
• Supportive team culture and modern workshop environment

The Role

You will be based primarily in the Mackay workshop with regular opportunities for site work. Duties include:

• Rotary equipment servicing (seals, bearings, housings, SRB units)
• Dismantling, inspection, fault finding, and rebuilds of slurry pumps
• Pump assembly and pressure testing
• Equipment lubrication and maintenance
• Safe use of cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment
• Participation in shutdowns and project work as required
• Potential interstate work

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification - Turner/Fitter Machinist or equivalent
• Full Australian working rights
• Current driver's licence
• Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset
• Physical fitness and reliability
• Ability to work effectively within team and shift-based environments

Highly Regarded (but not essential)

• Overhead crane experience
• Dogman, rigging, or forklift tickets
