Job description:

Position Purpose

To carry out Gatehouse Security duties at a client site in accordance with Certis Security Australia standard orders and site instructions, in compliance with all relevant State and/or Federal legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the vehicle movement, access control and visitor passes
  • Checking emails, administration and required reporting
  • Confirm everyone who is issued with a security access card to the site hascompleted the relevant induction and provided the appropriate approvedaccess level.
  • Identify and report any security risks to the client contact and client servicesmanager.
  • Internal and external foot patrols
  • Issue of permanent and temporary staff security access cards, contractor andvisitor passes.
  • Monitor WHS, CCTV surveillance and respond to various site alarms
  • Provide daily communications diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches,foot patrol reports, readings, alarms and any checks.
  • Provide perimeter security by ensuring there is no unauthorised access to thesite or vulnerabilities to the physical and electronic security integrity of theSite perimeter.
  • Respond to alarms generated by access systems, fire systems, buildingmanagement control systems, CCTV systems and any issues raised by staffor contractors.
  • Surveillance and monitoring of all entry gates, Screening Area, Site buildingsand grounds via CCTV, access control system and the visitor managementsystem process.
  • Traffic control - pedestrian and vehicle gates, intercoms, parking areas.
Qualification
  • The applicable Security Licence of the State or Territory in which you work and a current Senior First Aid Certificate in accordance with the applicable Security legislation and associated Regulations
  • A current and applicable Drivers Licence of the State or Territory in which you work, if the inherent requirements of your position requires you to drive
  • Risk and Assessment Qualification
Skills
  • Advanced Computer Skills - literacy in all MS Office products
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal & written
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills - verbal and written
  • Report writing and presentation skills
Knowledge Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role(s)
  • Prior demonstrated experience in staff management & performance management
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar environment, managing client relationships
