Gardener/Grounds Person

Full Time – immediate start

The ROCKHAMPTON CREMATORIUM & Garden of Remembrance is a locally owned and operated business.

We currently have a position available for a grounds person to join our small team.

Work will involve mowing, snipping, hedge trimming, fertilizing, spraying including herbicides/pesticides, watering and general garden maintenance of grounds and rose gardens.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience.

  • The physical strength to perform lifting, landscaping and general maintenance duties.

  • A Manual Drivers License preferred.

  • The ability to use tools, machinery and equipment for maintenance of grounds.

  • To be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • The capacity to be at ease working in a crematoria environment.

  • Willingness to work as part of a team as well as independently carry out tasks.

You will have the future opportunity to be trained as a cremator operator.
