Our operations include Hardware & Trade retail, manufacturing of Roofing products, manufacturing of Glass & Aluminium windows and doors, Paint retail, Manufacturers of timber and steel wall frames and trusses.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Glass Manager to join our team based in Mackay. Our Glass Division produces work for both retail and commercial customers. You would be responsible for a staff of 16 employees. Woodman’s Glass & Aluminium is part of a well-established larger construction and hardware business. Prior experience within the glass industry is highly desired. As a business, we all work together as one team to ensure we deliver quality outcomes. Our core values are honesty, integrity, quality, and collaboration.

Qualifications & experience

• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills
• Effective people management skills
• Understanding of general building terminology, building regulations, and building codes.
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain quality relationships through careful and articulate
• communication, with strong customer service focus
• Understanding the role and importance of cost management
• Ability to work efficiently and manage workload to achieve deadlines
• Willing to take responsibility and grow within your role
• Knowledge of vantage window/aluminium system (desirable)

Tasks & responsibilities

• Strong computer skills
• Correspondence with client, trades, and suppliers for pricing
• Discussions with clients regarding pricing
• Review and analysis of project performance
• Contract administration
• Meet reporting requirements and KPI’s 
• Site visits
• Management of staff
