Hear and Say is a Queensland wide provider of speech pathology and audiology services. We operate state-wide and support people of all ages - from newborn babies, to toddlers, school-age children, and adults.

We are seeking likeminded individuals to join us in the role of New Graduate Speech Pathologist, commencing in 2025. We are offering permanent full-time and part-time positions in our current locations of Rockhampton and Townsville.
The role
An exciting and varied role, our Speech Pathology graduate program is designed to build on your existing skills, experience and confidence and provide support to grow your speech pathology clinical skills beyond graduation. Our program focuses on providing a quality clinical program to support a range of clients (children and adults) with assessment, diagnosis, therapy and management of all forms of communication disorders.
The new graduate program
Key features of our new graduate program include:
- Comprehensive induction into the company, role and team.
- Service delivery training (systems, administration and procedures).
- Regular 1:1 clinical support and mentoring from your designated Team Leader / Mentor.
- Ongoing support across the team including weekly team meetings.
- Reduced caseload over the first 6 months.
- Designated case management and clinical administration time.
- Regular shadowing/observation opportunities with experienced clinicians.
- Access to a wide range of resources and assessments.
- Professional development opportunities based on the operational needs of the clinic and speech pathology caseload along with individual clinical skills and interests.
- Our mentor program can be modified accordingly based on your previous experience and how you move through the program.
Basis for selection
To be successful in this role you be graduating from a Speech Pathology degree in 2024 and have a passion for working in a collaborative and supportive multi-disciplinary team that is focused on evidence-based therapeutic interventions and good clinical outcomes for our clients. You will also possess:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to obtain full membership of Speech Pathology Australia prior to commencement.
- Ability to obtain a Disability Worker Screening clearance (Yellow Card) and Working with Children check (Blue Card) prior to commencement; along with the ability to obtain a Medicare Provider number.
- A current open driver’s license is highly desirable, as is the ability to travel to other sites as required.
- Ability to show initiative and strong problem-solving skills when making clinical decisions, including seeking additional support from experienced clinicians when needed.
- Demonstrated flexibility to adjust to a varied clinical caseload.
- Willingness to take ownership of professional learning and personal development.
