About the Service 

Our residential service, called “Binbi Yadubay – Healthy Beginnings” offers live in withdrawal, rehabilitation and family programs all on the one site, each with its own dedicated area.   

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be contributing to the day to day maintenance of the Rockhampton Residential facilities with a focus on grounds and landscapes, and day to day maintenance of facilities and equipment. 

A typical day will involve:

  • Oversee the grounds and site maintenance program in an organised and proactive manner.
  • Ensure grounds are maintained in a clean and tidy state for the safe use of our clients, staff and visitors.
  • Ensure any request relating to ground and building maintenance is responded to in a courteous and timely manner and that the request is documented effectively.
  • Submitting larger maintenance requests via our online system, respond to maintenance related queries on emails and via phone as required. 
  • Build positive relationships with staff throughout the residential facility.
  • Provision of cleaning and site operational duties as required.

This is a part time opportunity working 20 hours per week with flexibility in the days of work between Monday and Friday. 

The gross base salary for this role is $32.21 - $35.14 per hour + superannuation and salary packaging benefits. 

 

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, there are some essentials you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in a grounds/maintenance team gained from working in a community residential setting is highly desirable.
  • Highly developed skills using MS office suite of applications and business software
  • A working knowledge and capacity to adhere to  safe work practices.
  • Experience of working in a team environment and with a demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out the physical aspect of the position.
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to prioritise with a high level of time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Current Australian (issued) Drivers Licence
  • A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
