Handyperson/Maintenance person/care taker

Maintenance person/handy person required for private residences. Large home on The Range has undergone a large extension and requires the help of a handy person/maintenance person to help take care of it. The owners also have a beach property and a rental that would be included in the maintenance requirements of the position. Occasionally some handy person work may also be required at their business. The duties will  include general repairs and maintenance of the homes , some gardening/pruning of trees on the properties. Simple plumbing jobs, irrigation repairs and maintenance of the tennis court once a month. Some cleaning duties such as hosing/mopping decks in high places and cleaning of family cars. The hours are very flexible and they can be chosen by the successful candidate but we envisage at least 6 hours per day but no more than 8 although this can vary from day to day . Our current handy person ( who is retiring ) works 7am - 1pm but we are flexible with start and finish times. No weekends are required. Holidays can be whenever the candidate chooses and not limited to 4 weeks per year . Days off for appointments or extended weekends are readily available . We are very flexible and the handy person chosen will be working largely independently. The successful candidate would need to be fit and active and skills in carpentry and painting would be a distinct bonus. Remuneration will be based upon level of experience and skill set/qualifications and will be discussed/negotiated at interview. The ideal candidate would be a jack of all trades. Starting date will be ideally late July to have some overlap/training time with my current handy person and to allow for applications to be considered and interviews conducted.
