Optimising the health and safety of the organisation’s people, plant, products and environment through the continual improvement of its behavioural safety culture and Integrated Management System is what this role is about. Our client, Queensland Nitrates Ltd (QNP), is jointly owned by DNAP (Incitec Pivot Pty Ltd) and CSBP (Wesfarmers) and is located at Moura in central Queensland. The plant was commissioned in 2000 and consists of an integrated ammonia, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate plant with a capacity of 235,000 tonnes, and services mining customers in central Queensland.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and in collaboration with other key stakeholders across the organisation, in this role you will apply your leadership, management capacity, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality proficiency, best practice knowledge and hands-on approach to leading and developing the HSEQ Team and function across all areas of the business.
Your ability to effectively lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team, engage the broader cohort and drive behavioural safety and continuous improvement will underpin your success in this challenging and rewarding role.
Demonstrated performance within a related role and a thorough understanding of the associated HSEQ and Regulatory requirements is required. Significant experience in the chemical manufacturing or a related industry (e.g. oil & gas, energy, smelting, mining) and tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are preferred.
