Greenfield - Burton Mine Complex

BUMA Australia have been awarded the contract to develop and mine several satellite pits that are near the old Burton Mine and our existing Broadmeadow Mine operation. Coal extracted at these satellite pits will be transported and processed through the Burton CHPP and railed from the onsite Train Load Out facility. Burton coal is world renowned for its high-quality coking coal and is well sought after in the global export markets.

As a Heavy Diesel Fitter Leading Hand at our Burton Mine Complex, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supervising maintenance activities for our cutting-edge fleet of machinery. This is an exciting opportunity to grow within your career allowing your leadership skills to shine supported by a welcoming and close-knit crew.

Profile description:

About You

• Possession of, or a willingness to obtain, S1, S2, S3, and G2 supervising certificates
• Desirable experience with mining equipment, specifically Caterpillar, Hitachi, and Liebherr
• Strong safety focus and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with site safety processes
• Relevant qualifications in diesel fitting or heavy vehicle trade, or equivalent
• Proven ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating high levels of initiative
