Not every good tradie wants the same thing. We get that.

Some of you are chasing a permanent 7/7 roster. Others would rather keep things flexible, pick-up quality work when it suits, and not be tied to one site.

Either way, we've got the work.

Ellico Group is currently recruiting experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters for breakdown, field service and backfill work across multiple Bowen Basin mine sites.

While we're always on the lookout for tradies wanting a permanent roster, our biggest need right now is experienced fitters who are keen to jump into ongoing:

  • ADHOC/Floating work.

  • flexible Adhoc roster.

  • flexible roster across multiple sites.

 

If you're reliable, safety-focused and ready to go, we'll keep you busy.

What the work looks like

Covering breakdowns, leave relief, busy periods and project work across a range of mine sites. You'll get variety, plenty of hours, and the opportunity to work with some of the industry's leading mining clients.

This isn't the sort of work where you do one swing and never hear from us again. We have long-standing client relationships and a consistent pipeline of work, so if you're good at what you do, there'll be more where that came from.

For those looking for something more permanent, 7/7 opportunities also become available as contracts grow and new positions open up.

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III Heavy Diesel or equivalent trade qualification

  • Minimum two years' mining or heavy industry experience

  • Current QLD Coal Board Medical

  • Current Standard 11

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

Experience on CAT, Komatsu or Liebherr equipment is highly regarded, along with breakdown and field service experience. High-risk tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, EWP or Dogging are a bonus.

Most importantly, we're looking for tradies who work safely, take pride in their work, and don't need someone looking over their shoulder.
