Position: Qualified and Experienced Heavy Equipment Operators

Location: Gladstone, Central Qld

About the Role:

  • Safely and effectively operate earthmoving equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, skid steers and rollers to assist with site preparation, grading and material handling.

  • Load, transport and distribute materials across site/s using the correct machinery and practices adhering to all safely procedures.

  • Loads and unloads plant and equipment from floats, low loaders or trucks.

  • Selects and changes attachments such as buckets, augers, rock hammers and grabs in accordance with job requirements.

  • Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and secured manner.

  • Complete all documents related with equipment operation such as prestarts.

  • Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.

  • Apply best practice standards in all areas of HS&E, quality procedures, standard operating procedures & job safety analysis systems.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s licence (HR or HC Preferred or willing to obtain)

  • Hold at least three or more of the following machines: Grader; dozer; excavator; skid steer (tracked and wheeled); loader; backhoe; roller; and/or hydro excavation operations.

  • Preferred proven experience in rail, roads &/or construction projects.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of completing necessary paperwork and collaborating effectively with colleagues and able to work independently.

  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessments, drug, and alcohol testing.

  • Ability and willingness to complete site inductions and actively participate in pre-starts.
