The Role
We’re on the lookout for specialised HI EX / AMMONIA MC DRIVERS to become part of our team! Transporting remotely. Be at the helm of cutting-edge triple road trains, ensuring safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Navigate long-distance routes, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the road trains through varying terrains and weather conditions
  • Ensure all freight is transported safely and on time – monitor cargo loads, perform pre-trip inspections and manage schedules to meet delivery deadlines while keeping freight secure and undamaged
  • Stay informed on relevant laws, including weight limits, route restrictions and compliance with local regulations to uphold operational integrity
  • Regularly inspect and clean the cab and cargo area, ensuring that proper safety equipment is available and in good condition
  • Share driving responsibilities, communicate effectively about road conditions and fatigue levels and provide support during rest breaks to ensure consistent performance
  • Perform routine checks on the truck’s mechanical and safety features, including brakes, lights and tyres, reporting any issues promptly
  • Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork, such as delivery receipts, logbooks and compliance reports to ensure accountability and traceability
  • Leverage GPS and other communication tools to stay updated on traffic conditions, route changes and emergencies that may arise
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops

About You

  • Current MC Drivers Licence: Must have a valid multi-combination Drivers Licence allowing operation of heavy vehicles with multiple trailers
  • Dangerous Goods carting experience: Familiarity with transporting dangerous goods, ANE highly regarded as well as previous tanker work.
  • Accident-Free: A history of accident-free driving, showcasing responsibility and dedication to safety protocols on the road
  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations, including load limitations and route planning for optimal efficiency
  • Knowledge of fatigue management regulations to ensure driver well-being, including proper rest periods and monitoring driving hours.
  • Hands-on experience is essential for navigating and manoeuvring large combinations safely across various terrains
  • Hold DG and SSAN Licences and have previous experience carting bulk dangerous goods and side-tipping
