About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a safety conscious and highly experienced HSE Advisor to join our Rockhampton team.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of HSE experience.

Australian work rights are essential for this position (Citizens/PR only).

A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is the minimum qualification required.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager and Area Manager, the HSE Advisor will be required to provide leadership and advice to all project team members including assisting in maintaining policies and procedures relating to occupational health, safety and environmental requirements.

Other role responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations into any incidents onsite.

  • Conduct site Prestart meetings, Toolbox talks, safety meetings and training for management, supervisors and other site employees as required.

  • Conduct work area inspections, environmental inspections and task observations.

  • Minimise, monitor, report any potential environmental impacts to rivers/creeks, ground/soil and other flora and fauna from operational activities.

  • Maintain site training responsibilities to ensure employees are compliant with organisational requirements.

  • Comply with Subcontractor onboarding processes to ensure the correct onboarding processes are followed.

  • Ensure project compliance with procedures and plans whilst onsite.

  • In conjunction with RMS Workshop Manager, assist with the management of region-based fleet maintenance, compliance, servicing schedules, and inspection reports to ensure operational efficiencies,
