About the role

WorkPac is seeking an experienced HSE Lead to join our Gladstone client on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace by implementing proactive EHS initiatives in compliance with Federal and State WHS acts and legislation.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead risk management, audits, and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and safe work practices.
  • Conduct HSE reporting, data management, and incident investigations.
  • Facilitate HSE meetings, training, and site inspections.
  • Manage environmental compliance and return-to-work processes.
  • Provide HSE leadership and maintain safety standards.

 

Skills and experience required

  • Cert IV WHS; Training & Assessment (desirable). 
  • 3-5 years in safety roles, ideally in mechanical workshops. 
  • Familiarity with 5S+1, ISO 45001, 14001 standards. 
  • Leadership, risk management, audits, incident investigation skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, HSE software. 
  • Safety-focused, communicative, and able to work independently.
