Gibbs Air & Refrigeration is a locally owned and operated HVAC-R Business servicing commercial and light industrial clients across the Mackay region.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to join our experienced and supportive team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service. You will be responsible for Installation of refrigeration pipework and associated equipment for construction, repair and, maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret working drawings and undertake material and equipment take offs

• Installation of piping systems and associated equipment in accordance with drawings and Refrigeration and Plumbing Industry Standards.

• Fault finding and diagnostics

• Oversee the activities of Apprentices and Trades Assistants within the designated site team.

• Compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards

• Professional interaction with customers and clients

• Accurate job documentation and reporting

About You

• Trade qualified in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

• Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence

• Current QLD Restricted Electrical Licence (or full electrical licence)

• Current driver’s licence

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, well-presented, and customer focused
