4-Day Compressed Working Week

NEPEAN Longwall is a leading provider of longwall mining equipment and services to Australia’s underground coal industry. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Hydraulics Fitter to join our Paget-based workshop team.

This is a local, workshop-based role offering a 4-day compressed working week, providing genuine work–life balance while working on specialised underground mining equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assembly and overhaul of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves and manifolds

• Fault-finding, testing and commissioning of hydraulic systems

• Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and drawings

• Ensuring all work meets quality, safety and WHS standards

• Working closely with electrical and mechanical trades

About You

• Trade qualification as a Fitter / Hydraulics Fitter or similar

• Experience in hydraulics within mining, heavy industrial or mobile plant environments

• Longwall or underground coal experience (highly regarded, not essential)

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Safety-focused with strong attention to detail
