IMMEDIATE START Civil Combo Operator

About the role

At JRT Construction & Equipment Hire, we are seeking an experienced Civil Combo Operator to join our team in Yeppoon, Queensland on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the operation of various plant and machinery on our construction sites, playing a crucial part in the successful delivery of our projects.

What you'll be doing

• Safely and efficiently operating a range of construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, and backhoes
• Undertaking general earthworks, including digging, loading, site preparation tasks and final trim
• Performing routine maintenance and pre-start checks on assigned machinery
• Interpreting site plans and working closely with the construction team to complete tasks to a high standard
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintaining detailed records of work completed and equipment usage

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating within a civil environment
• Competent in the operation of a range of plant and machinery, primarily excavators and skid steers
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and construction drawings
• Construction Induction White Card
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Current Driver's license and own transport
• Initiative and be able to work without supervision
• Willingness to work as part of a team, and assist with other duties as and when required
• Physically fit
• Able to pass random drug and alcohol test
