MMEDIATE START - TRUCK DRIVERS

JRT is seeking experienced Truck Drivers to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Yeppoon, QLD this is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading construction and equipment hire company. As a JRT Driver you will be responsible for operating a range of heavy machinery and equipment to support our construction projects.

We are NOT offering FIFO or DIDO positions. Must be willing to relocate to the Capricorn Coast.

We currently have opportunities for Experienced Truck Drivers to join our brand, available for an immediate start. 

Desired Drivers Required: (but not limited to)

  • Tilt Tray Driver (HR Crash Box Licensed)

  • Truck & Dog Driver (HC or MC Licensed)

  • Float Drivers (MC Licensed)

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain MC-class vehicles to transport construction equipment and machinery (Float)

  • Performing routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

  • Working closely with the construction team to complete tasks and projects on time and to the highest standards

  • Ensuring all loads are properly secured and transported in accordance with safety regulations

  • Operating a variety of equipment

  • Communicate with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate equipment deliveries

  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

  • Maintain detailed logs of driving activities and delivery records

  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients and stakeholders

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 12 months experience operating within a civil environment, preferably on Road projects and subdivisions

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience operating MC - Multi Combination vehicles (Float)

  • Relevant ticket or certificate of competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in the transportation of heavy equipment and machinery

  • Ability to load and unload a wide variety of equipment 

  • Ability to safely tie down and secure loads as per NHUR requirements

  • Strong knowledge of road rules, safety practices, and load securement requirements

  • Excellent driving skills and the ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces

  • Construction Induction White Card

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Current Driver's license and own transport

  • Initiative and be able to work without supervision

  • Willingness to work as part of a team, and assist with other duties as and when required

  • Physically fit

  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
