We’re currently seeking experienced Industrial Painters & Blasters to join our growing team on local industrial projects in the Mackay. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, safety-focused tradespeople who want consistent local work with great rates and a supportive team who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork. Position starting in November. Local only need apply no FIFO.
Once the candidate has successful passed probation and evaluation period, the opportunity for full time employment will be offered for the duration of this project. Local only need apply no FIFO.
The right candidates shall be self-motivated with a positive attitude, the ability to work autonomously, and a proactive approach to safety.
The Person:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following tickets and experience:
Essential:

Certificate III Surface Finishings
-
Working at Heights within 2 years
-
Confined Space Entry within 2 years
-
Drivers Licence
-
White Card must be post 2009
-
MSIC (preferred) or able to obtain
-
Able to pass drug and medical
Skills and Experience:
-
Surface preparation (abrasive blasting, cleaning, and masking using sandblaster and grit blaster)

Knowledge of coating systems
-
Applying protective coatings and paint systems to steel and structural components
-
Operating blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently including spray guns, roller and brushes.

Ensuring all work meets safety, environmental, and quality standards
