Infrastructure Planning Engineer 

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $98,887 - $103,008 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Are you a qualified engineer seeking your next challenge? An exciting opportunity has become available for an Infrastructure Planning Engineer to join the Infrastructure Planning team. You will be responsible for undertaking complex traffic and road safety planning and investigation tasks for transport related infrastructure including but not limited to roads, cycleways, footpaths and public transport.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor degree qualifications in Civil Engineering and substantial demonstrated experience.
  • Strong knowledge of technical guidelines, procedures, and policies relevant to traffic engineering, road safety and associated infrastructure planning, design, and delivery.
  • Strong communication abilities paired with adept customer service, including the skill to negotiate and effectively address concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and utilising problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for Transport and Road Safety Planning.

 Application Criteria

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) qualifications and/or significant demonstrated experience within the Engineering field.
  • Demonstrated experience of transport analysis, design and planning.
  • Technical knowledge of statutory requirements, work practices, technical guidelines, procedures and policies relevant to the planning, design and delivery of municipal infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills relevant to the position and strongly focused on the provision of quality customer service.
