Job Description

The Inventory Coordinator reports to the Procurement Manager.  They are accountable for providing leadership, support, and guidance to the Inventory and Warehouse Team at Mackay Sugar.   They are responsible for the provision of materials and services to the Maintenance and Operations teams.   This includes driving high standards of customer service and maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.   Additionally, they manage the inventory control function and deploy the inventory management plan. 

The Inventory Coordinator role will also provide support to other business functions, including the broader Procurement team, working collaboratively to ensure Mackay Sugar's business goals and objectives are successfully achieved. 

The role will be based at our Racecourse Mill with regular travel to other sites in the Mackay region.

  • Significant inventory management and warehouse operations experience including a minimum of 5 years warehouse process and service level improvement experience
  • Operational change management experience (Warehouse & Inventory improvement and delivery)

  • Sound proficiency and experience in MS Office and SAP R3, or similar, ERP systems
