For Children. For You. For Always.

Are you ready to make a difference that lasts a lifetime?

At C&K, our purpose is to make a positive impact on children’s lives. It’s what we’ve been doing for more than 115 years. Through evidence-based thinking, hard work and true compassion, we’ve built a trusted reputation as Queensland’s leading provider of early childhood education.

Join us and find a better way with C&K - for children, for you, for always.

Find your Better Way

Every C&K career helps children belong and grow. We want the same for you and joining C&K means impacting a child’s life journey for the time they spend with us and long after they leave.  But, so much of what we do depends on you.

We’ll set you up for success with a range of benefits, programs and opportunities to help you earn, be well and grow.

  • Live, work and be well with our Employee Assistance Program for you and your family, plus health insurance discounts through Bupa.
  • Find a healthy work-life balance with parental leave, return-to-work support, and family-friendly priority access to C&K childcare centres.
  • Get a better deal with rates of $27.78-$28.90 per hour.
  • Our Referral program also awards you with $1000 for referring a successful candidate for one of our vacancies so you can be rewarded for supporting your team’s growth.

Help shape the future of children in our care

As our highly valued Cook with our Parkhurst team, you’ll create magical culinary experiences that nourish the bodies and minds of the children in our care.

Using our kitchen at C&K nGundanoo, you’ll whip up delicious, nutritious meals and snacks that delight even the pickiest of tiny tastebuds, creating cherished meal-time memories and supporting children to become healthy, happy and confident lifelong learners. You will design and deliver your menu with the close support of our Kitchens Operations Supervisor to ensure all our little learner’s dietary requirements are well supported.

And with no long hours, nights or weekend work, you’ll enjoy a better work-life balance with fixed, stable hours, so you can spend more quality time with friends and family.

What you’ll bring

To thrive and succeed in this role, we would love you to have:

  • Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (within three months or willingness to obtain these – C&K will cover the cost).
  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Quality Food Supervisor Certificate would beneficial, but not essential.
  • Previous experience in cooking for young children or within a large commercial kitchen, plus knowledge of menu planning for dietary and nutritional requirements.

If you do not meet all of the above but believe you have the skills for this role, we still encourage you to apply!
