As a Laboratory Analyst at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, your primary responsibility will be to conduct daily laboratory testing and operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness to meet product quality specifications. This includes maintaining properly calibrated and serviced lab equipment to uphold high standards of precision. You will also be involved in sample analysis for trials, research, and development projects as required. Additionally, your role will include maintaining and updating quality procedures and laboratory documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

This position will be based at the Wilmar BioEthanol Distillery in Sarina. Your Role in Action

  • Quality Testing and BioEthanol Production Accountability: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of quality testing for bioethanol products, meeting established standards and specifications
  • Instrument and Equipment Verification: Conduct regular verification checks and maintenance on instruments and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and providing accurate results
  • Analysis and Interpretation of Results: Analyse test results, interpret findings, and provide clear, actionable insights to support production quality improvements
  • Achievement of Quality Targets: Consistently meet or exceed quality targets, contributing to the efficient production of bioethanol while maintaining high product standards

Your Winning Combination

To excel in this role, our ideal candidate will possess at least a Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques (or equivalent), or the ability to quickly learn on the job. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and other organisational tools, is essential. A working knowledge or understanding of the Sugar industry would also be advantageous.
