About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to join our team. This is a key role within the centre, where you will lead a room, mentor team members, and deliver high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

You will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports each child’s individual development and learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of your room

  • Develop and implement engaging educational programs in line with the EYLF

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the local community

  • Guide and mentor assistant educators and trainees within your room

  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety

  • Contribute to documentation and learning stories using platforms such as Storypark

  • Support a positive team culture and contribute to staff meetings and centre events

About You

You are a motivated and caring educator who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)

  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

  • Sound knowledge of the NQS, and childcare regulations

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • A genuine passion for early childhood education

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Experience in a similar Lead Educator role (preferred but not essential)
