Our Opportunity 

A unique opportunity is now available in our Longwall division for a Leading Hand Fabricator.  This position will involve duties including but not limited to:

 

  • Assisting the Project Coordinators in problem solving issues in the construction of works.
  • Adhering to schedules and plans to optimise construction activities.
  • Working closely with sub-contractors to ensure plans and schedule are met.
  • Assist in fault finding of operating machinery, equipment plant, identify bottlenecks, maintenance needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Encourage and maintain a safe work environment, led by example.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of compliance with Policy and Process as directed.
  • Implement proper housekeeping to ensure tools and equipment are maintained and safe to operate.
  • Lead and motivate team of Trades, TA’s, and Apprentices to meet deadlines and perform to a high standard whilst promoting a safe work place.
  • Give instructions to all on shift for the day, ensuring pre starts are communicated clearly and workflow for the day is understood.

 

 
To be considered for this opportuinity, you will have:
 
  • Hold a current Trades Certificate or other equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a leading hand
  • Hold a current forklift licence 
  • Have a working knowledge of computerised drawings
  • First aid certificate
