About this opportunity:

The Leading Hand Maintenance role is integral to maintaining the beauty and functionality of Mackay's parks, cemeteries, and camping grounds. This position involves assisting in scheduled maintenance activities for the parks drains mowing crew.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Horticulture
  • QLD C Class Drivers Licence
  • General Construction Induction Card
  • Chainsaw Level 1
  • Medium Rigid Truck Licence
  • ACDC Weed Spraying Licence
  • Practical experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of the demands and responsibilities associated with maintaining high standards in parks maintenance and team supervision.
  • Skilled in effectively communicating work instructions, planning, and scheduling tasks and projects to ensure successful delivery and deadline adherence.
  • Experience in tractor slasher, mower and small plant equipment.
