We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Leading Hands to join our team in Rockhampton. The ideal candidate will have a background in general labor and be committed to upholding safety standards in the workplace.
Requirements:
As a Leading Hand, you will work closely with site supervisors and trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will lead by example on-site while helping manage daily operations and workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities
- Lead and support construction crew and subcontractors
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Monitor project timelines and quality of work
- Assist with scheduling materials and equipment
- Problem-solve and maintain productive site operations
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Tradesperson
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and site safety
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- White Card essential
- Driver's licence and reliable transport required
- Relevant trade qualification highly regarded
