Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Leading Hands to join our team in Rockhampton. The ideal candidate will have a background in general labor and be committed to upholding safety standards in the workplace.

 

Requirements:

As a Leading Hand, you will work closely with site supervisors and trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will lead by example on-site while helping manage daily operations and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities
  • Lead and support construction crew and subcontractors
  • Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Monitor project timelines and quality of work
  • Assist with scheduling materials and equipment
  • Problem-solve and maintain productive site operations

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Tradesperson
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and site safety
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • White Card essential
  • Driver's licence and reliable transport required
  • Relevant trade qualification highly regarded
